SPRING CREEK FARM FACTS

Spring Creek Barramundi produces award winning freshwater barramundi. Located on the banks of Spring Creek, a small seasonal tributary of the Bohle River on the outskirts of Townsville in Tropical North Queensland, it is one of Australia’s most unique and technologically advanced freshwater barramundi farms.

We’re sustainable and reducing pressure on wild stocks of this iconic species, Spring Creek is Australian Barramundi Farmers Association (ABFA) certified as an environmentally sustainable aquaculture fishery. We operate a HACCP approved processing facility as well as above industry best practice testing for quality control.

Unique to Spring Creek Barramundi is the fact that we operate a large-scale pond-based recirculation system. This unique system design means that we don’t discharge any water into the surrounding environment; making our operation highly sustainable and environmentally friendly. It also allows strategic water quality management which we utilise to ensure product quality and consistency.
